Due to Geekdom event scheduling conflicts were are rescheduling the Lean Startup Meetup to Tuesday February 28th still at 6:30 PM at Geekdom . The Kulabyte case study and story from startup to acquisition will be shared. From late 2005 to early 2011 Kulabyte, a cloud-based live video encoding software company, experienced many ups/downs and 3 major business model pivots prior to the company’s strategic acquisition by Haivision Video Networks.
A great deal was learned in process, especially how valuable the Lean Startup methodology can be to a company that is searching for product market fit. The case study illustrates how customers and a company’s own aspirations can lead you down the wrong path to building the wrong product.

San Antonio Lean Startup Kick-off Event
On January 19th at 12:30 we’ll kick-off the new year with some Lean Startup goodness at SA’s newest entrepreneur hot spot, Geekdom. Helping SA startup the new business year right will be Ash Maurya, Author of Running Lean and Founder of Spark59.
Ash has been leading Austin’s Lean Startup Meetup since its inception and recently wrote Running Lean, a 1st hand account of real world experiences building his own company while practicing Lean methodologies. During the 1st event we will cover some foundational principles of Lean and Customer Development methodologies, review some real world cases, results, and will encourage some lively discussion.
